New Year's Resolutions?
I have never been one for making New Year's resolutions. For me they are silly or at the very least a waste of time because I never keep them and then I feel disappointed. I figure why add stress to my already very full life? That being said I have decided to make some life changes that just so happen to be starting the month of January this year.
Goal 1 - Declutter basement. I am pleased to say that with a little help from my hubby, this goal has already been completed. YAY. Just what I need to spur myself on to accomplish another change.
Goal 2 - Declutter the rest of my home room by room until I can walk through my entire house and not see projects, toys, clothing, or any other random junk lying about. My new motto - If I bring an item in the house, an item must leave the house. (We'll see if I can stick to this since I am a self-proclaimed packrat.)
Goal 3 - Biggest Loser Challenge. This starts Sunday with my competition being my brother, SIL, hubby, and my mother. I am hoping this will help me accomplish a couple of things. First, of course, is to become healthier and get rid of baby weight that has been on a little too long. Second, decluttering my closet from the several different sizes of clothing that I refuse to get rid of. I want just one size in my closet (and it is the smaller size that I refuse to get rid of)!
So whether these are consider New Year's Resolutions or not, I am posting them here so I have some accountability. I have written them down not only for myself to see but the blogging world, which currently consists of me, my mom, and occasionally my cousin Michelle. But hey you gotta start somewhere.
Happy New Year!!!
